Career Description

Human Resources Managers plan, organize, direct and control the operations of human resources and personnel departments in the private sector and government.

Duties May Include

Plan an organization's human resource needs by consulting with other managers

Co-ordinate training/recruiting

Develop and implement labour relations policies/procedures, and negotiate collective agreements

Administer employee development, language training, and health/safety programs

Oversee occupational classification/rating

Organize and participate in the design and implementation of compensation and benefit packages

Advise other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies/programs
