Requirement

You usually need a university degree or community college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or a related field.

You need several years' industry experience, including supervisory experience. You usually must complete company or other management training programs.

With experience, you may move up the ranks to become a senior manager.

You may also need a master's degree in business administration or finance to manage large commercial loans.

Most recent entrants have an undergraduate university degree, and about 1 in 10 has a graduate degree.
