Financing Your Post-Secondary Education

As a university student dealing with everything from classes, homework and exams, to health, relationships and extracurricular activities, you will have more than enough on your plate. The last thing you want is to have to worry about how to pay for it all.

Fortunately for you, stress isn’t your only option. International students entering an undergraduate degree program at the University of Calgary are eligible for a variety of awards and scholarships.

We provide high school students with nearly $2 million CAD in merit-based scholarships annually, and offer numerous bursaries, which are granted based on financial need. If you are entering university from high school, simply apply for admission and complete the online High School Awards application to be considered for all awards.

Applicants with an admission average of 95 per cent or better are automatically eligible to receive a President’s Admission Scholarship, valued at $4,000 CAD. International Baccalaureate Diploma students will also be considered for 20 additional awards, valued at $3,500 CAD each.
