New beginnings need not be overwhelming when your university of choice is as welcoming and accepting as the University of Guelph!

Make this place your home! Our students tell us all the time that they love Guelph’s warm and caring community, which makes it easy to feel ‘at home’ on our campus. With over 150 student-run clubs and organizations, an award-winning intramural program, and on-campus events happening almost every day, UofG makes it convenient and stress-free to get involved in your campus community and make Guelph your home away from home.

What else can you do to ensure your first year of university goes smoothly? Be prepared! Knowing what academic resources are available to you early on will ensure that you know where to turn to if you find yourself with questions or issues later in the semester.

Academic advising is available for all undergraduate students and aims to assist students in the development and pursuit of academic objectives consistent with their life goals and the available opportunities at U of G.

The Learning Commons brings together services that support students in their learning, writing, research, numeracy and use of technology.

U of G’s renowned Centre for Students with Disabilities (CSD) supports the institution-wide commitment to creating a barrier-free environment and offers note-taking and other accommodations for students with disabilities.
