We’ve Got Your Financial Back at Thompson Rivers University

University can be one of the most exciting, and sometimes stressful, times of your life. Between writing term papers and trying to pass that one pesky nightmare of a class, you also have to keep living. And living includes more than just breathing: it includes paying for tuition, books, and whatever curveball life just tossed you. You’re not alone, though. Thompson Rivers University has your financial back with our Student Awards and Financial Aid Office.

If you’re a soon-to-be high school graduate, the one date you should remember is March 1st! That is the deadline for some of TRU’s largest scholarships, our Entrance Awards. Ranging from $500 to $22,000, the awards strive to acknowledge students with exemplar academic track records, community service involvement, leadership examples, and overall outstanding ambassadorship. We encourage every student to apply; and really, it’s only one simple application form.

Once you’re a campus master and you have completed a full year of studies, there are even more scholarship and bursary opportunities open to you. Through the generosity of thousands of individuals, alumni, businesses, and community organizations, TRU is able to offer hundreds of awards totally over a million dollars each year to TRU students. The Awards Guide details criteria for each award and every award is unique.
