Concordia is a great choice for anyone looking to make the best possible investment in their future professional life. As a co-op student, you can start building your career even while you pursue your academic goals. (Canada allows international students to work off-campus without a work permit if on-the-job-training is considered an integral part of your academic program.)

Even if you don’t choose a program with a co-op option, the campus itself holds interesting work opportunities. If you’re a full-time student and you can show your financial situation means you need to work to support yourself while you study, consider taking advantage of the Work-Study Program, which matches students with jobs at Concordia. It’s an excellent way to get connected to the university community, build your resume and develop your skills.

Work-Study lets you work up to 20 hours a week to a maximum of 200 hours per term. Jobs for the fall term are posted mid-August. Recent postings include DJ for Stingers sports events, video content and social media coordinator for the campus radio station, and second-language-learning research assistant.

To help you land the perfect job to complement your academic experience, Career and Planning Services (CAPS) can help you prepare a search strategy and get your résumé in good shape. They’ll even run you through common interview questions so you can make sure you’re ready to shine.

As for the job prospects that go along with a Concordia education: we havethe highest number of Fortune 500 CEOs of any Canadian university, according to the MINES ParisTech professional ranking of world universities.
