Developing a Plan B Strategy at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University

Save

So, your university plans have fallen through, and it’s time to consider Plan B.

While your education, and ultimately, career path may not look exactly as you had expected, there are ways to investigate satisfying and enjoyable careers. Career Development Services at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Corner Brook coast campus, can assist students on campus with this process. There are a number of resources available to Grenfell students including:

  • Individual career advising sessions that will help you identify your interests, skills and abilities and link them to potential career areas. You can talk with our career development co-ordinator who will work with you to determine accessible careers and to develop paths to get you there.
  • Mentoring and volunteer opportunities that will provide you with experiential learning involvements. The best way to learn if a career is right for you may be to spend some time immersed in that career.
  • Career Cruising, an interactive career planning resource is available to provide students with the information on occupational and career options, work environments, salary ranges, necessary skill sets, employment guides, career assessment tools, portfolio development, and more to help you in your career decision making.

With these offerings at the Grenfell’s Career Development Services, Grenfell students can design Plan B. With a little help, you may realize that your Plan B option should have been your first plan all along!
