The Main Milestones for International Students

As an international student applying to college can seem like a complicated process. To help make things easier we have outlined a few basic steps to help internationals navigate through the most important milestones of international applications.

Before even considering to apply, it is important to check that you meet all of the program pre-requisites, and that you meet the minimum grade requirements for your program of choice. Once you have chosen your desired program the application process is straight forward and easy to stay on top of.

If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English proficiency from your home country. Alternatively, international students are also able to take the English as a Second Language program (ESL) here in Canada.

Once you have been accepted pay close attention to deadlines for applications. Check academic calendars and speak with the Recruitment and International office to ensure that you have all the information you need to pay correctly and on time to reserve your place in your program.

Students are required to have medical insurance to cover the potential costs of medical care while studying with us. To best serve you, St. Lawrence College has purchased the most cost friendly and comprehensive coverage for our students. This plan immediately takes effect as soon as students arrive in Canada as long as their student fees have been paid.
