Our Medical Radiography program trains individuals in X-ray imaging. Students are trained in areas of computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopy, OR imaging, emergency/trauma, interventional procedures and mammography. It’s a dynamic, fast-paced career rooted in helping people from all walks of life, where no two patients’ needs are the same.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Principles of Mathematics  or  Grade12 Mathematics 
  •  Grade12 Physics 
English: two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following: English Studies 12 (73%) or English First Peoples 12 (73%) or Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses or 3.0 credits of post-secondary English, humanities or social sciences (73%) from a recognized institution

Math: one of the following (or equivalent): Pre-Calculus 12 (73%) or Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses or MATH 0001 - Technical Mathematics (73%) or MATH 0120 - Math 12 Competency Test (73%) or 3.0 credits post-secondary math (linear algebra, pre-calculus, or calculus) at 100 level or higher (73%) from a recognized institution

Physics: one of the following (or equivalent): Physics 12 (73%) or PHYS 0312 - Technology Entry Physics 2 (73%) or PHYS 0120 - Physics 12 Challenge Exam (73%)
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Post-secondary education: all of the following:
    3.0 credits English literature or composition (67%)
    6.0 credits of human anatomy and physiology (67%)
    Human anatomy and physiology course content must include cytology and the structure and function of the following organ systems: digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, renal/urinary, and reproductive.
