Strong oral communication skills are important for workplace success. In this course, you will practice the verbal, nonverbal, and interpersonal skills necessary for effective, culturally appropriate interaction in business situations. Explore a range of oral forms including persuasion, negotiation, clarification, and social small talk in a variety of business settings, including international contexts. Course work focuses on case studies and practice meetings. Expect up to three hours of homework each week.
