Description:Program focus blends contemporary and historical perspectives and draws inspiration from widely separated philosophical approaches. Our program integrates diverse approaches when examining a problem and avoids adopting one methodology to the exclusion of any other. Your learning experience will be enhanced by exposure to philosophers who draw on a wide range of philosophical resources, both historical and contemporary, and who are engaged in ongoing discourse with one another.

Students with an honours BA degree in philosophy (or equivalent) and who have a B+ or higher grade average in the last two years of study may be considered for entrance into the MA program. Strong candidates will demonstrate good training in philosophy (including logic and history of philosophy) and good fit with our faculty and program. We pay particular attention to applicants' writing samples and statements of interest in our program.
