Description:This two-year graduate diploma program provides international students with foundation management knowledge and the skills and decision-making tools needed to do business in an often diverse and turbulent North American and International economic environment.

The first year of this program focuses on Canadian-specific business issues and trends. A broad set of topic areas within the business field are explored. During this year, students are able to specialize in one of three areas of concentration offering a deeper understanding of a particular subject.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 75] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60]

Students must produce evidence of their English Language Proficiency: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): internet=75, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS)=6.0 overall, and no one score less than 5.5 and a min score of 6.0 in writing, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=60, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=50, or Capilano University EAP 090 with a minimum B+ grade. Students may also meet the English Language Requirement by submitting one of the following tests as an alternative to IELTS:PTE Academic=50, or TOEFL internet=75, or CAEL=60.

Applicants are required to have completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher with preference given to students with a 2.5 or higher on your final two years of study. Students with backgrounds other than business degrees, economics degrees or the equivalent will be required to complete a Business Essentials course. Applicants are also required to submit: a two page letter of intent (the letter must be written by the applicant, and will be evaluated for thoughtfulness of response and quality of writing); and a Resume or experience summary.
