Description:We'll prepare you to provide safe and meaningful outdoor learning and adventure-based activities to participants in your own professional context or setting.

This Post-Degree Diploma is designed for working professionals including educators, outdoor activity guides and leaders, counsellors and other human service professionals, who are interested in facilitating experiential learning through adventure-based activities. The blended delivery allows you to learn and engage both remotely and face-to-face through two, two-week field terms at the beginning and end of the program.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]

Admission to all academic programs is based on meeting one of the following English proficiency levels: completion of BC English 12 with a C+ or better; overall Academic IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5; TOEFL iBT score of 83 with no score less than 20 on each level; or Camosun English assessment. You can also apply for English upgrading in order to meet your English proficiency for program admission. Academic IELTS and TOEFL iBT scores must be from within the past two years. For TOEFL we require an original document from ETS to Camosun College: Destination (DI) Code: 7527.

Applicants are required to submit proof of a Bachelor's Degree. Applicants are also required to submit a 400-500 word statement outlining career goals and motivation to enter the program. This statement will assist in ensuring student alignment with the program but is not a determinant of admission.
