Requirements for Canadian Students

Students are strongly recommended to have some ability in the four skill areas of the English language: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Elementary students must have passing grades in their last year of school, purchase medical insurance, and live with a relative or guardian in Ottawa.

Requirements for International Students

Students are strongly recommended to have some ability in the four skill areas of the English language: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Elementary students must have passing grades in their last year of school, purchase medical insurance, and live with a relative or guardian in Ottawa. High school students must have a 70% average or higher in their academic subjects for the last two years of school, purchase medical insurance, and live with a Canadian family while in the program.

Procedure for Canadian Students

To apply to an OCDSB school, Canadian applicants must contact the school board.

Procedure for International Students

To apply to an OCDSB school, international applicants must complete an application form and submit it with two passport size photographs, letter of recommendation from a teacher or principal, and school records for the past two years. A $150.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany these documents. Full tuition fees are due upon acceptance to the program. Students are then issued a letter of acceptance.
