DescriptionThe Electronics Engineering Technology (Co-op Fast Track) program is for you if you are looking for a speedy way to enter the electronics field — with the added opportunity for a work placement prior to graduation. Qualified college or university graduates gain direct admission into the second year (semester three) of the three-year program and receive their advanced diploma in two years (four semesters), plus two work terms. The focus of this School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science program is on ensuring you develop expertise in areas such as: Wireless communications; Data communications; Microcontrollers; Industrial systems.

To develop a solid foundation in modern electronics, you will attend lectures that cover theory as well as labs that emphasize hands-on experience. The practical components of the Electronics Engineering Technology (Co-op Fast Track) will see you working with computers, communication transceivers and electronics testing and measurement equipment. You will round out in-school studies with a co-op employment component. If you qualify academically, you will enhance your education by working two terms as a paid employee in the field. This experience will not only allow you to put classroom learning into practice, but will also provide you with valuable contacts for your future career.
