Description | The Master of Science in Chemistry (M.Sc.), with research option in chemistry or biochemistry, prepares highly-qualified candidates for cutting-edge careers in academic, government, industrial, and clinical laboratories. The M.Sc. program offers graduate-level exposure to research over a shorter time-frame than the Ph.D. program. Coursework is combined with a substantial introduction to independent research.
Upon recommendation by the supervisory committee and approval by the School of Graduate Studies, M.Sc. students can transfer to the Ph.D. program and attain the department’s highest degree, as well as the greatest possible expertise in their chosen field. | | |
