DescriptionThe Aboriginal Focus specialization will highlight aboriginal tradition, culture, and community as it relates to the justice system. This diploma will provide you with a solid foundation in Canadian justice to help you make a difference in Aboriginal society. Upon completion of this diploma, you will be ready to apply your learning in a variety of justice contexts. This is a two-year (four-term) diploma program with an optional non-credit fifth term (field work placement). The program is for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal learners alike.

The purpose of the Aboriginal Focus specialization is to prepare you for careers in Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal justice sectors. These job opportunities are diverse. You can work in organizations and agencies like correctional facilities or the RCMP. You can work in roles like an Aboriginal child and youth worker or an addictions worker.
