The John Casablancas Institute of Applied Arts was established in Vancouver in 1978. The Institute is known for its unparalleled standards of excellence, as well as the local and international success of its graduates. John Casablancas Institute offers the most comprehensive programs available, employing a supportive, hands-on approach to educating our students.

Post-secondary diploma programs in Fashion Arts, Make-Up Artistry, and Hair Art Design. Affiliate companies include John Casablancas Model and Talent Management, and John Casablancas Studio.

Each program at JCI has a dedicated Industry Liaison whose responsibility is to promote JCI to the industry, network and seek job opportunities for our grads, and assist our grads in getting jobs. For international students, co-operative education (Co-op) options are available for each program.

Once per month, students in our Fashion, Makeup, and Hair programs have the opportunity to participate in a JCI Mixer. For our Mixers, we match one Fashion, one Makeup, and one Hair student together with a model and the team collaborates on 3 different looks. A professional photographer will shoot a number of images for students' use in their portfolios.

Students have access to an iMac computer lab and free wifi throughout the school.
