Trebas InstituteAt Trebas Institute, we are frequently asked what will make studying easier so that the new student doesn’t need to cram for exams. We encourage our students to make studying an ongoing process that begins with the first day of classes and involves managing time and learning effectively from lectures, labs and texts. We strongly recommend they set up a system and schedule time to review. Here are a few of the tips we give our students.

Review Material Regularly:

- Daily review: Read class notes as soon as possible after class to write down any missed information while it’s fresh. Review notes quickly before the next class.
- Weekly review: Take an hour for each course to go over class and text notes. If unsure of what is important, ask the instructor for help. Our instructors are committed to helping our students succeed.
- Major review: Begin extensive review 2-3 weeks before the test or exam.

Study Tips:
- Be sure to attend review sessions.
- Study frequently in shorter periods of time.
- Plan 10 minute breaks for every hour of studying. Be sure to include some free time in your schedule to allow for unexpected personal activities. Be flexible.
- Teach the material to a study buddy. This is one of the best ways to learn it yourself.
- Use the 3R's: Read, Write, and Recite the material.

At Trebas, we have an extensive library of materials to help our students learn good study habits. We are committed to student success!
