As a biochemist, you'll be entering a field with unlimited potential for enriching people's daily lives. You could be examining DNA evidence in a crime lab or helping to develop the next drug to treat Alzheimer's disease. A broad discipline, biochemistry has applications in medical diagnosis, forensic science, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, industrial microbiology, and genetic engineering.
Our program includes lab-intensive courses in cell biology, molecular biology, physical biochemistry, and analytical and organic chemistry. Also available to you is our popular Biotechnology specialization, which will prepare you for a variety of opportunities in the growing field of biotechnology.
