The Accountancy curriculum is designed to impart the necessary skills required for entry into the accounting profession. The Department offers a wide selection of accounting courses that satisfy the educational requirements for the three major Canadian accounting designations: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Graduates have been very successful in passing the national examinations required for qualification as professional accountants, most notably the success of the Diploma in Chartered Accountancy graduates in passing the Uniform Final Examinations of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
