Your point of entry is the Contemporary Science program, through which all students in this new science program complete a common first year. This will allow you to explore various science-based routes to degree completion before you commit to the Chemistry program. In addition to BSc foundation courses, your first-year studies will include an introduction to the use of computers as scientific tools, and an orientation course that will support you in making a successful transition to university and planning your steps to degree completion.
In second year you will begin to focus the direction of your science education. You can make the study of applied chemistry your exclusive focus, or you can shape your program to give you cross-disciplinary expertise. You may tailor your program in any of the following ways: Chemistry (honours); Chemistry major, with a minor in Biology; Chemistry, with a specialization in Computational Chemistry or Applied Physics; Chemistry (all streams), with an optional designation in Management Science.
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
