Description:The Department of Jewish Studies offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Judaica. The Department offers concentrations in Jewish Thought, History, Bible and Literature, and also, courses that enable students not taking a Concentration in Jewish Studies to broaden their knowledge of Jewish history and culture.

Elementary, intermediate and advanced courses in Jewish languages (Hebrew, Yiddish, and Aramaic) are also offered.

A Minor Concentration is offered for students who wish to add competence in Jewish Studies to their major field of study. The Major Concentration, and Honours program culminate in advanced seminars and tutorials for students contemplating careers in the various fields of Judaica.

Applicants must have obtained, prior to the start of classes, a Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC).
