Construction Engineering Technician (Weekend)

Description: This two-year Ontario College Diploma program is a comprehensive introduction to a variety of aspects of the construction industry. It is a blend of theory and practice comprising of courses, such as surveying, construction materials, estimating and construction documentation and positions graduates to pursue careers in residential or commercial construction. In addition, the program has strong ties to the local contruction industry and is supported by an advisory committee made up of local industry leaders. Note that successful students may opt for a third year of studies to also achieve an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.

Admission Requirements
Prerequisites: These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

  • Grade 12 English
  • Grade 11 Mathematics
  • English Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent) and Mathematics (Grade 12 MCT4C) or (Grade 11 MCR3U) or equivalent are required. Applicants with (Grade 12 MAP4C with a grade of 60% or higher) or (Grade 11 MCF3M with a grade of 50% or higher) will be required to take additional preparatory mathematics as part of their program of study.
