Painters and decorators apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures. They are employed by construction companies, painting contractors, building maintenance contractors, or they may be self-employed.
The technical training at NAIT includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation methods and specifications, fundamentals of coatings, application of residential, commercial and industrial coatings, applications of residential and commercial wall coverings, as well as trade related math and blueprint reading.
