Description: Criminology is the study of criminal behavior, its causes and consequences, and the way in which society responds to those who have been identified as criminal or deviant. Criminology can be viewed as an integrated approach to the study of crime and it combines elements of knowledge from a variety of disciplines. Students of criminology are exposed to a wide variety of theories of criminal behavior as well as to a diverse range of analysis of the criminal justice system.
