Luckily, Maclean’s has recently released their 2023 rankings for schools with the top scholarship and bursary budgets. So, whether you’re looking at specific undergraduate, comprehensive, or medical doctoral schools, you’ll have a better idea of which universities are most committed to providing funding for students.

The following universities devote a higher percentage of their operating expenditures to funding their scholarships and bursaries. Primarily undergraduate universities

Universities in this category are largely focused on undergraduate education, with relatively fewer graduate programs and graduate students.

Comprehensive universities

Universities in this category have a significant amount of research activity and a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

Medical doctoral universities

Universities in this category have a broad range of PhD programs and research, as well as medical schools.
