2025 Maclean's University Rankings: Computer Science Programs

Are you interested in pursuing a computer science program? If so, you’re in the right spot! There are many careers in the tech field that will need more qualified candidates soon, like data scientists, machine learning engineers, AI specialists, web developers, and more.

If you want to code your way into any one of these careers, you’ll need a degree in computer science. So, which schools should you consider for your computer science degree? Maclean’s has recently released their rankings for Canada’s best computer science programs for 2025.

This program ranking is based on survey results where over 1,000 professors, deans, and chairs at 70 universities responded to a Maclean's survey asking them to list up to 10 universities they felt had the best programs and conducted the best research.

This year, there are two new universities who made it into the top 20: the University of Saskatchewan and Toronto Metropolitan University!
