2025 Maclean's University Rankings: Nursing Programs

Are you someone who wants to have a career that’s dedicated to helping others? If so, then you may want to consider a career as a nurse! To become a nurse in Canada, you’ll need to get a bachelor’s degree in nursing. But, it can be tough deciding which school and program is right for you. So, where should you start? Luckily, Maclean’s released their rankings for Canada’s best nursing programs in 2025.

You can discover the top 18 Canadian schools with nursing programs for 2025. This program ranking is based on survey results where over 1,000 professors, deans, and chairs at 70 universities responded to a Maclean’s survey asking them to list up to 10 universities they felt had the best programs and conducted the best research.

This year, Dalhousie University rose in ranks and made their way into the top five, while two new universities broke into the top 18! The University of Manitoba made their debut at number 11 and the University of Windsor made their debut at number 18!

Hopefully this list has expanded your options for nursing programs, but keep in mind that rankings aren’t everything. Make sure to consider other factors like scholarships, location, extracurriculars, and more when deciding where you want to go to school.
