Exploring Canada: Must See Destinations in Ontario

We’re so excited that you’re interested in studying in Canada! Here at King’s University College we want to make sure our students are feeling safe and supported on and off-campus.

We have many support services geared specifically towards our incoming international students to ensure you have a safe and memorable experience here in Canada. To see a more comprehensive outline of the different supports, activities, events and more we have on campus, please visit our King’s International page.

Why you should study in Ontario

For those of you who are unfamiliar with King’s, we are located in London, Ontario here in Canada. The city of London is known as ‘The Forest City’, due to the number of hiking and biking trails here in the city. London is about two hours south of Toronto and two hours north of the U.S. border. We’re located in a great spot within Ontario, situated right off of the Thames River which flows behind our campus. To learn more about the City of London and what we have to offer, please visit the Why London page.

As part of our international student orientation, known as ‘Bridging Week’, we also provide our incoming international students with the opportunity to explore popular destinations within Ontario to ensure students get to explore more than just our beautiful campus. Past locations have been landmarks such as; Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland, Grand Bend and more!

Studying in Ontario is a great place to be. Canada is an extremely diverse and multicultural landscape. London is a post-secondary city with students coming in from all over the globe to call campus their home. We are a very safe city, large in size with a very community focused identity. Londoners are known for their welcoming nature, always looking to support and uplift their neighbours and make newcomers feel at home.

We host many different events throughout the year to incorporate and celebrate the different cultures that make up our population, including but not limited to; Latin Festival, Jerk Fest, Asian Cultural Festival, Pride Celebrations, and much more! For a more comprehensive list of London events, you can visit Tourism London: Events.
