When researching universities, it’s so important to assess the “360-degree” student experience: from campus to classroom to community. You hope to envision yourself thriving academically and socially, in a space that offers you the right scale, supports and facilities.
We’re all different — and what you hope to gain from a campus experience is too!
At multi-campus universities like York University, students have the benefit of flexibility, mobility, and choice. You can consider which campus’ offerings best suit your interests and needs — and you can enjoy extensive collaboration and movement between them.
Finding your campus fit
With three welcoming campuses in the Toronto Area, York University puts both the city and a variety of resources at your fingertips. Imagine what your journey might look like across York’s three connected but distinct campus experiences.
Keele Campus
A modern campus experience with diverse cultures and a broad range of program offerings and perspectives.
York’s largest campus is where more than 50,000 students, faculty, staff, partners, and the surrounding community converge. Keele Campus is a thriving community hub, enhanced by its proximity and access to economic and cultural centres in Toronto.
Home to 11 academic faculties amid expansive research, arts and athletic facilities, a campus of this size affords you scale and flexibility, if you’re looking for a traditional contained campus where you’ll live, study, work and socialize. Catch a game at the York U Lions stadium, live in one of our ten on-campus residences, and explore shops, restaurants, green spaces, athletics facilities, and more.
Glendon Campus
Global engagement in a small, immersive environment.
At Glendon, York University’s founding campus, programs are enriched through their focus on global engagement. With an intimate human-scale campus, small classes are offered in a uniquely diverse and immersive environment. All students are supported in strengthening their intercultural skills and multilingual competency — with up to 30% of students choosing to study in three or more languages.
If you want the best of both worlds, Glendon may be for you: enjoy an intimate university campus experience nestled in the hub of an extensive global city.
Markham Campus
Driving innovation through technology and entrepreneurship.
York University’s new Markham Campus focuses on offering innovative, tech-forward programs and research in the fields of creative technologies, computer science, sports management, finance and technology, and entrepreneurship.
Situated in the centre of one of the country’s most diverse communities, the campus will share a home with hundreds of corporate head offices, including Honda Canada and more than 1,500 high-tech and life science companies, as well as startups.
Markham Campus will also include a new location for the university’s entrepreneurship and innovation hub, YSpace, which recently launched the Startup Visa program to support international founders and companies looking to start or expand their businesses into Canada.
No matter which campus is your primarily location, you can count on academic excellence, extensive services, mobility, and access.
