The Child and Youth Care program teaches students the necessary skills to work effectively with children, youth and families who are experiencing social, emotional, developmental and behavioural challenges. The program integrates a holistic approach embedding an ecological perspective and principles of human rights, anti-oppressive practice, resiliency and restorative practice.

Prerequisites:*	These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Grade12 English Applicants must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (if applying as a mature student 19 years of age or older), with completion of Grade 12 English (C or U) (must have a Grade 12 English (C/U)) of 65% or higher.
Test Scores:	International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80]
