You enter the program from the Engineering common first year and develop a solid foundation in Chemical Engineering in Years 2 and 3. In Year 4, you complete coursework in Biomedical Engineering consisting of interdisciplinary biomedical engineering, fundamental biomedical science, and healthcare issues. In Years 4 and 5, you will study a combination of Chemical Engineering courses and required courses in Biomedical Engineering.

As an Engineering student, you'll have the option to enroll in the "With Co-Op" version of your program and complete a minimum of 3 co-op terms to graduate with a 'Bachelor of Engineering Science with Co-Op' degree. In addition to the practical experience and competitive salary you'll gain through summer and/or long-term co-ops, your employment will count towards the four years experience you need to be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
