Description: | This combined program is a three-year program leading to a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a Master of Arts (MA) in History. You'll start your degree in the Faculty of Law at Western and follow the normal curriculum for Year 1. In Year 2-3, you’ll be registered in the combined program and complete a combination of Law and History requirements.

Prerequisites:* | These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Please note that this is a second-entry program. This means you have to complete an undergraduate degree before starting.
Applications to the JD/History-MA combined program must be submitted to both programs separately. This can be done in one of two ways. In either case, you must indicate in both applications your intention to pursue the combined-degree program:
1. Apply to both programs separately by the deadlines established by the Faculty of Law (November 1 for Fall admission) and the Department of History. The application to the JD program is available at the Ontario Law School Application Service website.
OR
2. After beginning first-year Law, apply to the MA History program by the deadline established by the History Department.
