| Description: | This is a three year career program that provides the professional training needed to understand and promote children’s learning and development. Extensive fieldwork experiences provide students with an opportunity to combine theory with practical application, also known as praxis. Students will develop a caring, patient attitude, good organizational skills and a commitment to personal and professional excellence.Students in this program will engage in three separate field-work experiences, while also using the on-campus Early Childhood Education Lab Nursery.
Interest in the childcare profession is growing rapidly, with high demand for competent, professional educators. The number of children being cared for in Nursery Schools, community preschools, and school age programs as well as CPEs (Centres de la Petite Enfance) has soared. Job opportunities are excellent. Note: This program also offers a 2-year fast track option. |
