Description: | The Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan provides a truly unique experience to students by offering studies in agronomy, crop science, horticultural science, plant ecology or rangeland studies in one department. We are the only Department of Plant Sciences in Canada capable of offering such a diverse experience in plant studies. In addition, research facilities that will enrich your student experience include state-of-the-art laboratories, a controlled environment facility, up-to-date greenhouses, and a land base dedicated to plant research that totals 4,890 acres. Close cooperation between the department and other research institutions on campus, such as the Plant Biotechnology Institute of the National Research Council, the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Station, and the Protein, Oil and Starch Pilot Plant, allows graduate students to participate in interdisciplinary research. |
