Description: | Centennial College's Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design (Fast Track) program allows qualified college or university graduates direct admission into Year 2 (Semester 3) of this three-year advanced diploma engineering program and sees them receive this technology advanced diploma in two years (four semesters). The Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design (Fast-Track) courses in this college engineering program will combine engineering theory and practice that emphasize the design and development of various mechanical devices and equipment.
Through a hands-on approach, you'll obtain thorough grounding in engineering sciences and skills, including advanced computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) as used in the industry. You'll spend about one quarter of program time on project work that will simulate workplace assignments while relating classroom theory to the actual design and manufacture process. In addition, one course will introduce you to finite element analysis using ANSYS software.

College diploma or university degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 2.5 CGPA and completion of all core courses and a C grade in COMM-170/171 are required to quality for COOP-221 and subsequent PTY (Co-op) work placement. Departmental academic standards for PTY (Co-op) eligibility also apply.

Additional Admission Requirements: | Transcript and resume review is required; Centennial College English Skills Assessment is required (score of 170 or 171 is required for admission); A Centennial College engineering math assessment may be requested (applicants will be notified individually).
