Description: | The Department of Occupational Therapy offers two programs leading to the degree of MSc: (1) a master's with thesis as an independent degree for those proceeding from a BScOT, and (2) a course-based master's. The thesis-based MSc program is designed for therapists with an entry level degree in Occupational Therapy to further their studies and develop a specialized body of knowledge. The course-based MSc program is designed to provide students who hold undergraduate degrees from a variety of disciplines with the clinical and evaluative skills necessary for the practice of occupational therapy. The course-based MSc program is designed to address practice and theoretical issues within a broad range of settings. Upon completion of their degree, students will be able to evaluate programs, participate in research, and critically appraise current assessment and intervention options. An Interprovincial Training Agreement between the Province of Alberta and the Province of Saskatchewan exists for the Department of Occupational Therapy.
