    To be considered for admission to Ryerson’s Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies, you must meet the minimum program requirements: a four-year honours Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution with a minimum B grade point average (GPA) in: Early Childhood Education, Political Science, Disability Studies, Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or Sociology. We will consider applicants from other disciplines. If you haven’t taken a course in research methods or do not have a background in research, we strongly advise you to take a qualitative or quantitative research methods course prior to entering the program.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93]
    Application Notes : If you have not completed two or more years, full-time, at a Canadian university or a university at which English was the primary language of instruction, or have not completed a graduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction, you will be required to provide certification of English language proficiency through one of the accepted examinations listed below. Scores are valid for two years from the test date. It is important to understand that meeting the minimum English proficiency requirements does not guarantee admission. Programs may set additional requirements to these minimum standards. For exemption from this requirement, applicants are required to provide an official statement from their institutions Registrar's office confirming the use of English as the Medium of Instruction for the duration of their study.
