Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    MEd students are initially admitted into the course-based route. Applicants to the master's degree must have a four-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) that has been granted by a recognized academic institution and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on most 4-point grading systems. Additionally, some specializations may require previous professional experience.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
    Application Notes : Applicants may also take a PTE with a minimum score of 63 in order to prove their English proficiency.
