Description: | Geography is an integrative discipline that brings together a large variety of phenomena and processes in a spatial context that other disciplines treat in isolation. Human geographers examine spatial patterns and the organization of human behavior to comprehend the social, cultural, economic and historical processes that have created the landscape.
The Master of Arts in Geography is an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge and contribution to the social and spatial systems that structure our world. Human geography brings together a wide variety of perspectives that other disciplines treat in isolation. The MA program allows for students to develop practical and theoretical innovations that provide for a full and rigorous picture of the world that we live in. |

Prerequisites:* | These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Students with an honours degree or equivalent (including a 4-year advanced degree) in geography (human geography specialization) or from an allied discipline will be considered. All master’s applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the last 60 credit hours of study. Applicants must be accepted by an advisor prior to submitting an application to enter the program.
