Description: | The Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) degrees are four-year undergraduate degrees offered jointly by the Faculty of Science and the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. You are registered as a Medical Sciences student in Years 1 and 2, and apply to the BMSc Program when you enter Year 3. In the BMSc program, you will study basic medical sciences and focus on all aspects of biology that define and influence the human condition. Emphasis is placed on understanding the normal human condition, mechanisms of current treatment and the search for cures.
Pharmacology is the study of drugs and their effects on living systems. Pharmacology examines the chemical properties of drugs, their biological effects on the body and how they are used to treat disease. In this program, you'll discover the adverse effects of both drugs and chemicals on humans and other biological systems and learn how technology is an integral part of risk/safety evaluation.
You can complete this program as part of a Bachelor or Honours Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the third year when you enter the BMSc program. |
