Description: | Canadian Studies explores the Canadian nation, imagination, and experience from an interdisciplinary perspective. The courses offered as part of the Major and Minor programs present a wide-ranging and diverse view of Canada from both humanities and social science perspectives, including Anthropology, Communications, Drama, English, Economics, Environment, French, Geography, History, Political Science, and Women and Gender Studies. The core courses in the program provide a strong foundation for students who then choose additional courses from a wide variety of electives that fit their own interests and academic goals. The program is flexible and introduces students to several academic disciplines, methods of inquiry, and theoretical approaches to the study of Canada. It provides an excellent foundation for graduate studies and allows students to fulfill the entrance requirements of the Faculty of Education.
