Description:This two-year program is designed to provide skills and knowledge in the field of Welding Inspection and Quality Control. This program has been developed in cooperation with Industry in order to meet the increasing demands for professionals to carry out a number of inspection related tasks including: testing products at specific stages to ensure acceptable qualities such as dimensional, performance, mechanical, electrical, and chemical characteristics. Duties will also include recording test data such as; procedure qualification records, pressure testing, visuals, non-destructive and destructive examination testing, film interpretation, calibrating, welding procedure specifications, welder and welding operator qualifications.

Welding Inspection and Quality Control professionals need to be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and formulas. This profession requires strong oral and written communication and computer skills.

    High School graduation diploma or equivalent. Applicants who have completed the Welding diploma or equivalent may apply for Advanced Standing. Red Seal (Welder) endorsement also qualifies for Advanced Standing.
