Description:Welding engineering technicians create and manage quality control and quality assurance systems associated with welding processes and procedures that are governed by industry standards and codes. This program is designed to develop students' skills and knowledge associated with this profession. Graduates will also acquire the skills to perform the visual and non-destructive testing quality control processes associated with a welding quality management system.

Admission Requirements

  •  Grade12 English 
  • 2 of  Grade11 Mathematics 
  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Earth and Space Science  or  Grade12 Physics 
This program requires High School Graduation Certificate with a 60% overall average, or equivalent.

English (2 credits) (minimum 60%) from: 3201 or 3202

Mathematics (4 credits) chosen from: Advanced: 2200, 3200 (50% minimum in each course), Academic: 2201 (50% minimum), 3201 (60% minimum)

Science (4 credits) two of which must be selected from: Biology: 3201, Physics: 3204, Chemistry: 3202, Earth Systems: 3209.
