Description:Sheridan's four-semester Practical Nursing diploma program is approved (Category 1) by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). When you graduate from this program, you'll be eligible to apply to take the Canadian Practical Nursing Registration Examination (CPNRE). When you’ve successfully completed the CPNRE, you’ll be issued a license to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario.

In this program, you’ll learn to: Help clients with nutrition, elimination, medication, safety, ambulation and hygiene, Chart patients’ progress and assess their conditions, Care for wounds, change dressings and give medication, Educate clients and promote health and wellbeing, and Care for patients through all stages of a disease, including palliative care.

Admission Requirements

Biology, Grade 11 (C or U)
Chemistry, Grade 12 (C or U) or Chemistry, Grade 11 (U)
or

Mature student status.
