Description: | This program is designed to help students understand how language and communication function. Students who concentrate on applied aspects of linguistics will have a good preparation for teaching languages and may be able to apply for official certification in Teaching Language as a Second Language (TESL). Linguistics is also a good platform for careers in law, education, publishing and the language software industry.
