Description: | Bridges for Business develops written communication skills. This online writing course is based on materials available from Atlantic Business Magazine OnlineĀ©. Students read a selected article each week, then answer questions that address vocabulary, understanding, and expression of original thought. A cycle of suggestions for correction from the instructor, student correction, and confirmation of the corrections follows. Development of student self-correction is reinforced in three one-hour VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) sessions with the instructor, in which corrections and observations can be discussed, and in which students get direction for focused writing development.
