Description | Social Innovation brings a new perspective to existing ways of decision-making in today’s society. By reconceptualizing education, we’ve broadened the learning experience to focus on how you can make a positive impact on the world. In your first year, through tools like empowerment, inclusiveness, community engagement, sustainable development, environmental stewardship, reconciliation, and social activism, you will discover the tremendous capacities of communities and individuals looking to initiate systems change. With a focus on self-reflection and embedded with Indigenous teaching, ceremony, and ways of knowing, you will learn about yourself, your potential, and your community.
Courses within this program and its majors are experiential, project-based, and modular, with cross-cutting themes that will interest a wide variety of learners. If you’re thinking of making a change, we just have one question for you – how do you want your world to be?
