Description | Centennial College's Health Studies and Communications Skills program is an academic pathway undertaking. It will benefit you if you wish to obtain a post-secondary education in college-level health programs in which English fluency (reading, writing, listening and speaking) is a professional requirement for safe practice.
Communication is the cornerstone to any health practice. As such, this college health studies certificate program will focus on enhancing the the communication skills necessary for developing professional relationships within the workplace. As you refine your English language skills, you'll also learn key health concepts and the health terminology used within Canadian health care settings.
The program will enable you to continue into the professional health program of your choice within the School of Community and Health Studies (if you meet all the requirements for admission into that program).
This course will be synchronous online, meaning classes are delivered during a specific timeslot in the week. You're expected to come together online at the same time each week to engage in your studies. The course will also be asynchronous online, meaning you can access and engage with the course material anytime, anywhere, each week. | | |
